Infertility Awareness Week 2018

<![CDATA[Infertility Awareness Week is April 22nd- April 28th 2018.

Why does infertility require awareness, after-all 1 in 8 struggle with infertility.

It should be well known.

This should be a topic that is understood, but it isn't.

It isn't because those of us who have suffered with infertility tend to do so in silence. Behind closed doors we are desperately hopeful for our babies to be forming, and month after month we struggle. Struggle to find hope and not grow bitter. Struggle to find happiness for others without being envious. Struggle to find purpose and not feel forgotten. Because those who don't struggle, just don't understand. We are so grateful that you don't have to struggle with infertility. But this week is to let those who don't know what it's like, that we are out there. We are your friends, your family, your neighbors. We make quick comments to change the subject and to hide our aching hearts but this is hard.

This week is also to let those who have suffered in silence know that they are not alone.

You are not alone, you matter and you are certainly not forgotten! Unanswered prayers are not closed arms. God wants to comfort all who are suffering. He wants to bring you through this season so that you can find peace in even the most painful hurts.

I spent 7 years struggling through infertility, so I understand. I know what it’s like to have a desire that no one else seems to struggle with. I know what it’s like to get angry, bitter, and even to stop hoping. But I also know that is not what God wants from us as we wait for one of His promises. God still wants us living in the fruit of the spirit, not the fruit of the flesh. When I realized I wasn’t honoring God, He showed me what to do instead. And my anger, my bitterness, and rage were replaced with pace, joy, and genuine hope. I know God wants that for you too!

Reach out to me, I am here. We have a private group for those who are TTCTF. Don’t go through infertility without support.
